Downtown Naples is the center of robust trade, sophisticated culture and sustained progress throughout the southwestern region of Florida. It is alive with color, good food and radiant festivities.  It is the jewel of the community; a place of light, beauty and music. Once you visit, your eyes will immediately feast on the splendid architecture that’s reminiscent of the Mediterranean style. Then you can head down the several art galleries and museums featuring world-class collections or you can shop in the upscale shops around the area. This is downtown Naples – where people come to shop, dine and be entertained in style.

If you go to 5th Avenue South, you will be greeted by brick laden paths that would make you feel like you are in Europe yourself. The old world style columns, arched pathways and sprawling balconies certainly do help set that kind of mood. Walk a bit further and the brick roads should take you to the beautiful Naples bay alongside the fountains, piazzas, boutiques, cafes and salons. There is also a hotel, several fancy restaurants and high end residential houses with crowds of people going to and from them making a testament to the livability of the downtown area.

Swing by Third Street South and you’ll come across a vast array of posh shops, various art galleries, theatres and a variety of gastronomic delights. There are so many shops here you can spend an entire day, browsing through aesthetically pleasing furniture, antiques, gowns, shoes, dresses, perfumes and jewelry. And, oh, did we mention shoes? After all that exercise you got from shopping, you can treat yourself to one of the restaurants and enjoy a wide selection of seafood, pasta, salads and good wine. Then, head over to one of the theatres and enjoy a great play or listen to an ensemble to end your night perfectly.  All these activities and more come together to make the most pleasurable sensory experience the memory of which is sure to stay with you for many years.

And before we forget, the other place to do all the shopping and dining is Tin City. Located only half a mile from 5th Avenue South, it is a complex that features a collection of shops where you can buy food, clothes, odds and trinkets, that sort of thing. It is made up of four buildings so it is quite large and also it is open-air so it’s perfect for that alfresco dining experience you can’t see in many colder places. If not, you can always go to Bayfront to have a nice dinner, which is just nearby Tin City.

Take a stroll along the streets and experience the beauty of the tall palm trees and blue sky or head down the Gordon River and see the beauty and the abundance of wildlife. Close to the downtown area is the historic Tamiami Trail which boasts lush green forests and many colorful birds. Be warned though, the place is also a highway, so if you are brining your vehicle with you keep in mind that the stretch is a busy road that encompasses multiple nature and wildlife preservation areas so it is not advisable to pull over to one side to take pictures for traffic and safety reasons.

Touring around the city is all well and good, but if you are looking to make your stay here permanent. Say you want to retire here or have your family move over for a more luxurious lifestyle, then you can pay a visit to the several real estate brokerages and mortgage lenders so they can help you get the property you want so you can build your dream house and finally live the kind of life you desire.

Then when it’s all said and done, you can take an easy drive down to Naples beach and catch that miraculous sunset that is famous for giving a grand performance its interplay of colors – a true work of art that only Nature can paint.  With all that said, there is absolutely no reason why you shouldn’t take a visit to the majestically beautiful city of Naples as soon as possible.
