Time and again we have expressed how Naples is such a great spot for both young and old. With that being said, there are many places in Naples and its nearby areas that are specifically child-friendly and there are also places that are great for the entire family. The places have been frequented by families for many years and still continue to draw new visitors.

Naples and its nearby places offer an almost endless sandbox for the kids to play in along its spectacular beaches. Then, there are also museums and parks that are both exciting and educational. These places are perfect for the children to express themselves in as well as learn new things and of course, do what they do best – play to their hearts’ content.

We have listed 5 places that are great destinations for the kids and the kids at heart

5 . Golisano Children’s Museum

This is a non-profit, child friendly museum along Livingston Road.  Outside your kids will be immediately treated with a nice and colorful façade that has a sign that says “CMON” which stands for Children’s Museum on Naples. Inside there are huge and eye-popping interactive displays featuring giant artificial trees with large vines and a large mammoth that looks all too real.

4. The Conservancy of Southwest Florida

This lively place has both indoor and outdoor attractions. The facility went through some major reconstructions over the years and now it’s better than ever. There is the Dalton Discovery Center which houses some interactive and hands on exhibits for your kids to enjoy and where guests can explore the rich eco system of southwest Florida. It is also home to hundreds of animals, perfect for picture taking with the family. For outdoor activities there are nature trails available and kayaking since the conservatory is located right up the Gordon River.

3. Naples Zoo

The Naples Zoo is a nationally accredited park which houses over a hundred animal species. This massive 52-acre park is home to animals like bears, lions, alligators, panthers and monkeys just to name several of them.  They even have an adorable bear that lounges in a large hammock, really. And before we forget, they also offer boat tours to see the lemurs and the monkeys!

2. Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary

This place is famous for its ancient cypresses. This beautiful and serene sanctuary also has a 2.25 mile long boardwalk that is laden with signs and educational boards that can lead a visitor to a self-guided tour. The walkway lets the guests observe the flora and fauna of the marsh like the pine and cypress trees and the famous American Wood Storks that use the place as a nesting area.

1. Lowdermilk Park

This is one of the stunning beaches in Naples. We have covered this place in our previous articles but what we haven’t told you guys yet is that this place is the most well-equipped park among all the beaches in the surrounding area and can cater to families that bring small children with them. It even has pavilions where you and you baby can take a much needed shade from the sun that can sometimes be too hot.
