In Naples, Florida, there are a few nooks and crannies that deserve attention. There are beaches close to downtown Naples that are worth visiting. One of these little gems is the Clam Pass Beach. This beauty is tucked away behind a big private resort and the great thing is it’s a Collier County Park. The Clam Pass Beach is a part of Clam Pass Park which is a protected sanctuary for birds, trees and wide a variety of wildlife. The park is perfect for hiking and walking along their board walk but the beach is something exceptional with its clear white sand and crystal clear waters, perfect for a midday summer dip or shelling by the shoreline.

One nice thing about being in the Clam Pass Beach is that you don’t get to be in the beach right away. From the parking area, you can ride a shuttle that will take you to a wooden boardwalk which you’ll have to take on foot. Along the boardwalk you’ll be thrust into this amazing tunnel of thick mangrove trees which provide the necessary shade for a walk that would last three- quarters mile long. Then, from the shady tunnel you’ll be presented with a beautifully bright beach right after you emerge from it. Fluffy white sand and gorgeous waters that sway blue and green would be the perfect reward for the little journey you just took.

This kind of view of the beach will go on for miles and miles in both direction and further out into the inner land part are sea grape trees and lush vegetation. Aside from the beach, there is also a mangrove lagoon area which is the actual “pass” in this park. It is waist deep, except for high tides, and you can walk across it and you can feel the current push you slightly, it’s so much fun.

There is also a snack bar and concessionaires from the private hotel nearby and you can access those easily if you want to buy something to eat or drink. Or, you can call us at Divine Naples and we can send food over to your spot without having to worry about leaving your place. This service is a convenient way of getting food and should you need something or forgot to buy something that needs you to give up your parking space, well, you now don’t have to with this service.

The Clam Pass Beach is a nice way to relax while near the developed areas. This is cool if you’re looking for a quick beach experience that does not require you to drive for miles out of the city. There are other places you can visit around Clam Pass too like the Koreshan Historic Park and the Lovers Key Park. These places and more are all featured in our Articles section in the website.
